Formed in 2010, The Ritas consists of two friends who met because of their combined love of The Smiths, Suede and Manic Street Preachers. These influences are obvious in their songs, but with a female vocalist and an experimental edge, they are pushing the boundaries of indie music forwards. They have had American radio play with "How Wrong I Was" and a cover of "Jeane" by The Smiths and their debut EP is out at the end of October.
